"Ain't No Mountain High Enough..."

There are more than ten national parks in Nepal, including Chitwan, Kosi Tappu Wildlife reserve and Bardiya National Park.  Among them, Royal Bardia National Park is one of the most popular ones. This National park protects 968 km of sal forest, lush grassland and Karnali Rivers. The atmosphere is wonderfully tranquil and with the current slump in tourism, you may well have the whole place to yourself. This National Park is a haven of tropical forests, providing habitat to a diverse variety of wildlife, flora and different species as well as migratory birds.

In the Royal Bardia, you have the most chance out of all the parks, to see the Royal Bengal Tiger.  There is also the one horned Rhino, crocodile, the four horned antelope, the striped hyena, Gangetic Dolphin and many others.  Additionally to these rare creatures, there many species of birds. Likewise, other mammals in the park such as the two types of monkeys, gray langurs, rhesus macaques can be seen. There are leopards, hyenas, sloth bears and many species of deer.
